2010 All-Star Game to be Televised

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts and Cox Communications have partnered to air the 2010 American Association All-Star Game on Kansas 22.

The American Association All-Star Game matches up the best players from the North and South Divisions, with all 10 teams sending at least one representative. The game will potentially be carried in all 10 of the league's markets.

"Kansas 22 is excited to provide Cox customers in 85 Kansas communities this unique and exclusive live programming opportunity. Baseball enthusiasts across the state will be able to enjoy the talent of players in the American Association of Independent Baseball League exclusively on Cox Cable channel 22," said Janet Barnard, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cox Kansas/Arkansas.

Prior to the All-Star Game, the Wingnuts plan to host several competitions including the annual Home Run Derby. A banquet hosting all of the players and league executives takes place the night before with passes made available to the public for purchase in the near future.

"Our organization is extremely proud to be hosting the 2010 All-Star Game", said Wingnuts' President Josh Robertson. "The All-Star game is a cherished event at any level of baseball, and partnering with Cox Communications and Kansas 22 to televise it helps to ensure that our city and league are both seen as first class."

Kansas 22 is the premier television station for Kansas programming, continually airing events with statewide interest.
