SIOUX FALLS' EWING JR. SIGNS WITH NEW ORLEANS
Forward Earns 2010-11 NBA D-League Season's 18th GATORADE Call-Up
The New Orleans Hornets signed forward Patrick Ewing Jr. of the Sioux Falls Skyforce for the 18th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Ewing Jr.'s call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 89. Ewing Jr. (6-8, 235) has started 48 of 49 games with Sioux Falls and the Reno Bighorns this season, averaging 17.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists. An NBA D-League All-Star, Ewing Jr. joined the Skyforce from Reno via trade on Jan. 25, and is averaging 22.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists in his last five games. With 22 double-doubles on the season, Ewing Jr. ranks among the league leaders in scoring (ninth) and rebounding (third).

Cedric Jackson led the way with 25 points and Tony Bobbitt added 18 points and 15 rebounds, leading Idaho over the Toros. Kevin Palmer and Leo Lyons each scored 15 points for Austin.
Jamine Peterson had 40 points and 13 rebounds, leading the Thunderbirds past Springfield. Philadelphia 76ers assignee Craig Brackins led the Armor with 23 points. New Mexico's Marcus Hubbard added 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Marcus Landry's 27 points paced Reno to a win at Sioux Falls. Bobby Simmons had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Patrick O'Bryant added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Bighorns. Sean Marshall led Sioux Falls with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Jerel McNeal scored 22 points and Houston Rockets assignee Hasheem Thabeet added 14 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Vipers past Tulsa. Oklahoma City assignee Byron Mullens led the 66ers with 18 points.
Trey Johnson's 37 points and Drew Naymick's 14 points and 10 rebounds led Bakersfield over Maine. DeShawn Sims scored 24 points and Magnum Rolle had 22 points for the Red Claws.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
26 players with NBA D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, six as starters.
Toronto's Ed Davis had 21 points and 11 rebounds and James Johnson had 14 points in a loss to the Clippers.
Utah's C.J. Miles had 16 points in a loss to Dallas.
Charlotte's Shaun Livingston scored 13 points in a win over the Knicks.
