BIGHORNS ACQUIRE SHARP-SHOOTER FRAHM
Guard Richie Frahm, Reno's premier long-distance threat from last season, has been acquired by the Bighorns. Frahm appeared in 21 games for the Bighorns last season, averaging 19.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Despite playing less than half of the season, he led Reno with 83 three-pointers, connecting on 46.9 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc. A 6-foot, 5-inch guard from Battle Ground, Wash., Frahm has played parts of four seasons in the NBA, appearing for Seattle, Portland, Minnesota, Houston and, most recently, the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2007-08 season. In 140 NBA games, Frahm holds career averages of 3.6 points and 1.2 rebounds.
Frahm takes the roster spot vacated by Dave Noel, who has been released. Noel played in 27 games for Reno this season, averaging 5.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
