TORONTO'S JAWAI ASSIGNED TO IDAHO STAMPEDE
The Toronto Raptors assigned forward-center Nate Jawai to the Idaho Stampede, the Raptors' NBA Development League affiliate, and is the 26th assignment of the season. Jawai has appeared in five games for the Raptors, totaling two points and two rebounds in 18 minutes. He is the third Raptor to be assigned to the D-League. P.J. Tucker was assigned twice to Colorado during the 2006-07 season and Pape Sow was assigned to the Arkansas Rimrockers in the 2005-06 campaign. Toronto acquired the draft rights to Jawai from the Indiana Pacers on July 9. He was the 41st overall selection in the 2008 NBA Draft.
TOROS ACQUIRE JAMAAL THOMAS
The Austin Toros announced that the team has acquired forward Jamaal Thomas from the NBA D-League Player Pool. The 6-8, 220 pound forward from the NBA D-League Player Pool. The 6-8, 220 pound forward from Angelo State played previously this season for the Reno Bighorns. Thomas averaged 5.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 14.2 minutes in 21 games.

THURSDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Thursday's games
Dwayne Mitchell led the D-Fenders with 29 points and Joe Crawford added 25. Gabriel Hughes posted a double-double of 12 and 10.
Derrick Byars drained six 3-pointers on his way to a team-high 29 points for the Jam. Veteran point guard, Mateen Cleaves dishing out 13 assists and 11 points. Nick Lewis (17), Terrance Thomas (14), Justin Reed (13) and Herbert Hill (10) rounded out the six players in double-figures for the Jam.
Ivan Harris and Erik Daniels led all BayHawks scorers with 24 points each. Daniels fell one rebound shy of a triple-double, adding 11 assists to a 24 point performance. Maureece Rice chipped in 21 points and Jackie Manuel added a double-double with 10 points, including the winning shot and 13 boards.
Maurice Baker led all Wizard scorers with 19 points, with Will Frisby adding 18 and Blake Ahern chipping in 15. The Wizards newest addition Romel Beck had a strong debut knocking down 4 of 8 from the field and adding 6 free throws for a total of 15 points on the night.
Othyus Jeffers (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Courtney Sims (14 points, 13 rebounds) both contributed double-doubles for the Energy as Demetris Nichols added an additional 26 points. Curtis Stinson (19 points) and Patrick Sanders (18 points) also finished in double digits.
Frank Williams led all scorers with 39 points. Chris Ellis scored 16 points and grabbing 21 rebounds for Sioux Falls.
Vipers point guard Jared Jordan recorded a franchise record 21 assists en route to a 122-116 victory over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Jordan also had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals. It was Jordan's fourth double-double of the season. Jawad Williams led with 32 points.
The Mad Ants were paced by Coleman Collins, who scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Walker Russel Jr. had 12 points and 12 assists.
Eric Dawson scored a season-high 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and the Austin Toros defeated the Albuquerque Thunderbirds 117-111. Austin featured four players scoring in double figures. Marcus Williams had 22 points and Carldell Johnson scored 20. Nate Brown pitched in a season-high 20 points off the bench for the Toros
Jasper Johnson scored a team-high 35 points for Albuquerque. Will Conroy finished with 22 points, seven assists in 45 minutes of action and David Noel added 20 points.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
9 players with D-League experience competed in two NBA games last night, two as starters.
Houston's Von Wafer scored 19 points in 20 minutes off the bench, shooting 4-6 from the three-point line and perfect from the free-throw line.
Starting for the Phoenix Suns, Alando Tucker finished with 16 points.
Jordan Farmar notched 12 points for the Lakers , while adding six rebounds and five assists. Josh Powell added six points and six rebounds.
