RENO February, 27th- It was a tough battle for the Bighorns, though they controlled most of the first half against the Anaheim Arsenal. They weren't strong enough to maintain any lead in the second half as accurate Arsenal shooting, helped Anaheim pull away in the second half. Arsenal 96-Bighorns 79.
Reno Bighorns' Antonio Meeking put the first score of the game on the board, followed by a solid three point shot by Russell Robinson. Bighorns maintained the lead the entire first quarter, ending in a tie at 20-20.
It wasn't until late into the first half that the Arsenal was able to gain the lead on the Bighorns. Marcus Campbell was the leading scorer with 14 points during the half, with James White also scoring in double digits for the team at 12. Between the two, they maintained over 50% of the total points for the team in the first half and with a one point lead against the Bighorns, 45-44.
The Arsenal shot nearly 55% from the field as a team the entire game. White scored 24 second half points as the arsenal pulled away with an 8-0 run at the end of the third quarter to separate themselves from the Bighorns permanently. The Bighorns had six players in double figures; leading the way was Robinson with 16. But the hot hand of White proved to be the difference as he led all scorers with 36.
