
Naturals Score 5 Early En Route to 6-2 Victory

SPRINGDALE, Ark. -Northwest Arkansas (3-5) picked up the 6-2 victory over the Midland RockHounds (3-5) on Friday night as Mark Peterson picked up his first victory of the season. Peterson relieved Naturals starter Jonathan Dziedzic in the fourth inning, allowing just one earned run in 2.2 innings pitched, after Dziedzic had struck out six RockHounds through three innings, while allowing only one earned run.
Tanner Peters dropped to 0-2 on the young season after giving up five earned runs in three innings pitched. The Naturals got to Peters for six hits, including three in the first inning. After singles by Lane Adams and Mike Bianucci, Balbino Fuenmayor highlighted the three run first inning with a two out double to drive in Bianucci.
Jorge Bonifacio would start another rally in the second inning with a one out single. After and Adams walk, Hunter Dozier would push the Naturals' lead to five runs with a two out double to score Jorge Bonifacio and Adams.
Midland cut the lead to 5-1 after a bases loaded walk scored Carson Blair in the top of the third inning. They would add on one more run in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Chad Pinder, but the Naturals bullpen held them scoreless after that, en route to the 6-2 win, and first home victory of the 2015 season.
Northwest Arkansas continues the homestand tomorrow night, Saturday, April 18th, with a 6:05pm first pitch featuring an Arvest Ballpark Calendar Giveaway by Arvest Bank. Naturals starter Brandon Finnegan takes the mound against RHP Jake Sanchez (0-1, 3.86 ERA).
