Naturals Fall to Missions

Springdale, AR- The Northwest Arkansas Naturals fell 4-1 to the San Antonio Missions on Sunday night. The loss was a season-high seventh straight for the Naturals.
The Missions grabbed the lead in the top of the third inning. Jason Hagerty led off the inning with a double and Jeudy Valdez followed with a single to put runners on the corners with no one out. Reymond Fuentes delivered a two-run double to put the Missions on top 2-0.
The Naturals (41-45) cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the seventh inning. Mario Lisson blasted a solo home run that made it 2-1. The home run was the eighth of the season for Lisson, and the franchise leading 39th of his career.
Keyvius Sampson (5-7) went six and two thirds innings just four hits and one run, while striking out five. Sampson did not issue a walk for the first time this season.
The Missions (40-46) picked up two more runs on a two-run home run over the left field bullpen. The home run was the 18th of the season and his fifth against the Naturals. The home run also pushed the Missions lead to 4-1.
Ethan Hollingsworth (0-5) went seven and two-thirds innings allowing four runs on nine hits, while striking out a season high nine. The seven and two-thirds innings was the longest outing by a Naturals' starter this season.
Daniel Stange struck out the side in order in the ninth inning to earn his third save of the season for the Missions.
The Naturals continue their three-game series against the San Antonio Mission tomorrow night at 7:05 PM. The Naturals will send left-hander Chris Dwyer (5-7, 4.93) against the Missions left-hander Andrew Werner (2-8, 3.57) The game can be heard on ESPN 92.1 The Ticket.
