Potomac Nationals News Release
WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Fresh off a four-game series with the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, Md, the Potomac Nationals return home to Woodbridge to start a six-game series beginning Tuesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. The team will face off against the Wilmington Blue Rocks for three games with all three first pitches scheduled for 7:05 ET.
The P-Nats split their four-game series with the Keys, taking the first two by scores of 14-8 and 4-0, but dropping the last two contests 6-3 and 13-7 to bring their overall record to 9-9.
The Nationals kick off their homestand promotions Tuesday night with Salute to Service Night at the ballpark. Like every Tuesday home game, all military, first responders, and teachers receive a free grandstand ticket with proof of identification.
Wednesday's bout with the Blue Rocks will bring another Belly Buster Night to Pfitzner Stadium sponsored by Moe's Southwest Grill who will once again be providing all-you-can-eat burritos as well as hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and popcorn . Remember, only $12 gets you a grandstand ticket and access to the endless feast at the Pfitz.
Thursdays at the ballpark are Ladies Nights where live bands will perform on the concourse both before and after the ballgame. This Thursday, local favorites Trial By Fire will be cranking it up to 11 for all fans in attendance.
Freebie Friday will kick off the series with the Frederick Keys as the P-Nats will be giving away team wall calendars courtesy of Assurant Health to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Game time is 7:05 ET.
Saturday brings the much-awaited return of Scout Night to Pfitzner Stadium. First pitch will be thrown at 6:35 ET, and the fun will begin soon after the last out is recorded. A fireworks extravaganza presented by CarMax will take place immediately following the game, and kids will run the bases courtesy of Glory Days Grill. Kids will then be allowed to set up tents in the outfield as a movie will be played on the big screen in left field. In the morning, the kids will receive scout patches to commemorate their stay at Pfitzner Stadium.
Sunday's 1:05 ET game will close out the series with the Keys as the P-Nats will be promoting Sunday Family Funday at the ballpark. Players will be on the concourse before the game signing autographs, and fans will be welcomed onto the field after the game to take part in a game of catch for our "family toss" promotion.
Sunday will also be the first of two Bark at the Park promotions at Pfitzner Stadium this season. Bring your pup to the park for only one dollar and that dollar will go directly to the Society of Protection to Cruelty to Animals.
