Potomac Nationals News Release

WOODBRIDGE, Va. - The Potomac Nationals announced today that infielder Dan Lyons will be activated off the seven-day disabled list and rejoin the P-Nats before their series opener with the Wilmington Blue Rocks starting Tuesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 ET.

Additionally to accommodate the roster move, the Nationals have also announced the release of right-handed reliever Jamie Lehman.

Lyons strained his hamstring playing on a rain-soaked field in Salem in the team's second series of the season and was placed on the disabled list on April 22, retroactive to April 16. Lyons had come out of the gate swinging the bat well, hitting .278 in five games played. He also carried a .435 on base percentage before the injury occurred.

Lehman (0-0, 12.15) was unable to avoid the big inning in his time with the 2009 P-Nats. Appearing in five games, Lehman recorded three scoreless outings even earning a save in a game against Salem, but inconsistency plagued the Canadian-born right-hander as his other two outings saw him allow three and six runs respectively.

Be sure to come to the ballpark Tuesday night for the opening game of the six-game homestand as the P-Nats will play host to the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Frederick Keys. Like every Tuesday night home game, the Potomac Nationals will be holding Salute to Service Night where all military, first responders, and teachers will receive a free grandstand ticket with proof of identification.
