National Sensation Coming to the Blue Crabs

WALDORF, Md. - This Thursday, June 21st, the National Act "Cowboy Monkeys" will take Regency Furniture Stadium by storm when the Blue Crabs take on the Somerset Patriots. The national act has been sweeping the country over the past two years, drawing fans from all different backgrounds in front of sellout crowds. The Cowboy Monkeys will make appearances before and during the game, leading up to their 6 minute finale that will take place immediately following the game on Thursday night.

Tim Lepard's "Cowboy Monkeys" show typically features border collies saddled and ridden by white-throated Capuchin monkeys, which herd a group of sheep onto Lepard's signature "Wild Thang" Dodge truck. Once clothed in their miniature chaps and costumes, the monkeys climb on, get adjusted, and hold on tight. The monkeys are tethered to the collies to prevent a bucked Capuchin from running into the crowd.

"This appearance truly encompasses everything we are striving for: to provide our fans with affordable family entertainment, and memorable experiences that they won't soon forget. Personally, I'm very excited, where else can fans go to see a monkey actually riding a dog, not to mention corralling goats," said Blue Crabs Marketing Manager Courtney Freeland. "This one will go down in the history books, which is right on par with everything we've planned for our 5th Anniversary Season!"

One of the featured Cowboy Monkeys will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game gets underway on Thursday. Fans will also be able to enjoy a few sneak peeks in-between innings as to what they can expect from the 6 minute finale that will commence immediately following the game.
