(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the signing of national wide receiver
Nate Coehoorn to a contract extension, keeping him in Green and Gold through 2018.
"I love it here. I love the fan support. I love the organization and the tradition behind the Eskimos. The Eskimos team is built around tradition and I want to be a part of that for years to come," says Coehoorn.
In eight games (six starts), the native of Medicine Hat recorded 18 catches for 160 yards and added one special teams tackle.He returned to the active roster in Week 12 for Edmonton's 27-16 win over the Calgary Stampeders.
A five year veteran, Coehoorn was originally selected by Edmonton in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2011 CFL Canadian Draft.
He has amassed 166 career receptions for 1,894 yards and four touchdowns. A contributor on special teams, he also recorded 13 special teams tackles.
