
Natalie Williams Leading One-of-a-Kind Program at Flash Factory

LEHI, Utah, Oct. 15, 2008 - Olympic Gold Medalist and five-time WNBA All-Star Natalie Williams has joined the elite coaching staff at the Utah Flash Factory in Lehi to offer a one-of-a-kind program for girls basketball players in Utah.
"Basketball Skills Classes with Natalie Williams" begins with five one-hour classes offered between Nov. 5 and Dec. 10, with winter sessions set to begin in early January. Cost for the five sessions is $75. The classes focus on empowering young girls to play the game of basketball, as well as teaching the skills, dedication and mental toughness necessary to be successful.
"Natalie is certainly no stranger to success and has an uncanny ability to connect with young basketball players," said Factory manager Dustin Smith. "We are so excited to have what is arguably the top female athlete produced by the state of Utah as a member of the Flash Factory coaching family."
The 1999 United States Basketball Female Athlete of the Year and the Utah Female Athlete of the Century, Williams played her prep basketball at Taylorsville High School before signing with UCLA to play both basketball and volleyball. A 2006 inductee into the UCLA Athletic Hall of Fame, Williams was the first woman to earn All-America honors in both basketball and volleyball in the same year.
Currently a member of the Skyline High School basketball staff, Williams helped lead the Lady Eagles to state titles in 2006 and 2008.
The Flash Factory is located at 4425 North Thanksgiving Way in Lehi, just south of the Point of the Mountain on the west side of I-15. Under the umbrella of the Utah Flash, kids also have access to basketball camps and clinics put on by Utah Flash players and coaches and Utah Jazz guard Ronnie Price, as well as numerous opportunities for league play in a variety of sports.
