Colorado 14ers News Release
DENVER - The Colorado 14ers won the second pick in the 2008 NBA Development League's draft lottery for the Draft on Friday, Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. MT. The lottery took place in Dallas, TX Tuesday at the League's annual Fall Meetings.
"We are very excited about the potential that the No. 2 pick in the draft brings to our franchise this year," said 14ers head coach Bob MacKinnon. "I'll be working with our staff to make sure we take full advantage of it to bring in the best possible collection of talent so our fans can have a great experience when they come to the games this year."
The Tulsa 66ers secured the first selection, while the Idaho Stampede, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Bakersfield Jam rounded out the top five.
The Colorado 14ers will hold a draft party on Nov. 7 starting at 5 p.m. MT open for all fans. The 14ers coaching staff, select players and mascot will be on hand as selections are made live. Location details will be posted soon at www.14ersHoops.com.
