All or Nothing: May has seen the Sounds' power numbers increase and with that has come an uptick in strikeouts. Nashville hit just nine home runs in April, which was tied with New Orleans for the fewest in the PCL. In three fewer games this month the Sounds have hit 20, which is sixth on the circuit. At the beginning of May the Sounds were the fifth hardest team to strikeout but now they are 13th.
Sunday Fun Day: The Sounds have had success playing on Sundays this season, posting a 5-2 record. The five wins on Sunday games are the most of any day of the week.
Montas in May: Today's starting pitcher, Frankie Montas has been impressive over his last three starts, all in the month of May, as he has seen his ERA dip from 6.19 to 3.75 over that span. He is 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA (20 IP/4 ER). He has walked just four batters while striking out 15 in that time. Opponents have gone from batting .300 against him to .259. All three starts have been quality starts.
