From the Notes
Record Are Made to be Broken: In the 41st Opening Day in franchise history, the Sounds set a record for most runs scored in a single Opening Day game with 11. The previous franchise high was 10 runs set in 1994 at Oklahoma City and in 2000 at Omaha.
Canha I Have Another: Mark Canha's second inning homer in last night's win was the first Opening Day home run by a Sounds player since Hector Gomez on April 4, 2014 at Omaha. When Franklin Barreto drilled a two-run blast in the third, the teammates became the first pair of Sounds players to collect two or more homers on Opening Day since Brandon Boggs and Edwin Maysonet on April 7, 2011 vs. New Orleans.
3-Hit Party Fowler: Nashville's Dustin Fowler led a 16-hit attack last night with a 3-for-5 performance. Fowler became the first Sounds player to have three or more hits on Opening Day since Sean Halton had four hits on April 5, 2012 at New Orleans.
Everybody in the Act: Every player in last night's starting lineup had at least one hit, with six players registering multi-hit games (Mateo, Fowler, Barreto, Núñez, Canha and Martini).
