Twice as Nice: Nashville's pitching has thrown back-to-back shutouts to begin the series against Iowa. It's the first back-to-back shutouts thrown by the Sounds since May 23 and 24 of 2017 against Omaha. Both of those shutouts also came at home in 10-0 and 4-0 wins.

Pitching Prowess: Through the first seven games of the season, Sounds pitching has produced a professional baseball-best 1.53 ERA. The staff is also tied for the most shutouts in all of professional baseball with three. The only other teams to have three shutouts in 2018 are the Los Angeles Dodgers and Kansas City Royals.

Trying to Bust out the Broom: It has been over 10 years since the Sounds completed a true three-game series sweep. With the PCL's schedule shift to 140 games, the Sounds have the opportunity to sweep Iowa in three games tonight. The last three-game sweep was June 27-29 of 2007 when the Sounds went to Albuquerque and took three straight from the Isotopes.

Renato's Streak: INF/OF Renato Núñez went 2-for-4 last night and has a five-game hitting streak in his first five games of the season. He's hitting .350 (7-for-20) with a 2 RBI, 2 runs and 2 walks during the streak. Núñez is on Major League rehab assignment after injuring his hamstring in spring training.
