Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club will take on the New England Revolution at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday from Foxborough, Mass. in the club's second away match of the season.
Unlike in previous weeks when the matches were available without subscribing, season ticket members will need to redeem their codes or fans will have to subscribe to the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV App in order to follow the action.
Following a 2-0 victory over CF Montréal on Saturday, Nashville SC is off to its best start to an MLS season with a 2W-0L-1D record, 7 pts., and having recorded shutouts through its first three matches.
Goalkeeper Joe Willis is on MLS history watch this weekend, as he became just the seventh goalkeeper in MLS history to record three consecutive shutouts to begin a season. Willis would become the first goalkeeper in MLS history to record four consecutive clean sheets and play every minute to start a season with a shutout on Saturday.
Taylor Washington recorded his first career MLS goal in the win on Saturday. Washington is currently the longest tenured player on the roster, dating back to when the club participated in the USL Championship. After the match, Washington spoke about the thrill of scoring his first MLS goal at GEODIS Park in front of the home fans and his dedication of the goal to a young boy who passed away from cancer. Footage from Washington's availability can be found here.
On Thursday, Nashville SC will host its weekly media availability featuring Head Coach Gary Smith and former New England Revolution attacker Teal Bunbury, who spent eight seasons as a member of the Revs before joining Nashville SC prior to the 2022 season.
