Drake Callender Named to MLS Team of the Matchday

Inter Miami CF goalkeeper Drake Callender has been named in the Team of the Matchday for matchday 3 of the 2023 MLS regular season. Callendar secured his spot on the team after his strong performance in the team's first away match of the campaign.

Callendar makes his appearance in the MLS Team of the Matchday bench following seven crucial saves to keep Inter Miami in the match against New York City FC.

The shot-stopper is making his second appearance in a Team of the Matchday this season after just three matches. Thus far in 2023, Calendar has made 17 saves, tied for the second-most of any goalkeeper in MLS, while allowing just one goal. His 94.4% save percentage is also the second-highest in the league among goalkeepers to feature this season.

The Herons have had a player or coach represented in each Team of the Matchday for this season.

2023 Inter Miami Team of the Matchday Honorees:

Matchday 1: Drake Callender and Sergio Kryvtsov

Matchday 2: Phil Neville, Rodolfo Pizarro and Jean Mota
