Nashville SC News Release
NASHVILLE - As Nashville Soccer Club trailblazes into its inaugural season, Major League Soccer celebrates 25 years of rich history and growth.
The season-long celebration will feature a variety of unique experiences and marquee events. It all kicked off this month with the MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas on Jan. 9, during which Nashville SC selected six players to its first-ever roster ahead of preseason training camp in Florida.
Other events include a league-wide jersey reveal in advance of New York City's Fashion Week on Wednesday, Feb. 5 with the help of celebrity fans. The adidas jersey will also be revealed virtually across EA Sports FIFA channels after the real-world unveiling.
Fresh design elements will also be on display throughout the season to commemorate the milestone including a 25th season crest and special player jersey fonts for names and numbers. Additionally, team will play with a special 25th season celebration ball, the 2020 MLS adidas NATIVO XXV, which will feature blue and green colors in a nod to the first MLS ball in 1996.
The 2020 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target will be a first-of-its-kind matchup between the MLS All-Stars and Liga MX All-Stars and will feature a special edition 25th Season jersey. MLS Cup, meanwhile, will feature a pre-match ceremony highlighting 25 seasons of MLS.
Opening day sees Nashville SC host Atlanta United on Saturday, Feb. 29 at Nissan Stadium in its first-ever MLS match presented by Renasant Bank. Click here for ticket information.
