
Nana Attakora Called up to Canada Men's National Team

Washington, D.C. (September 1, 2014) - D.C. United has announced that defender Nana Attakora has been called into the Canada Men's National Team ahead of a Sept. 9 friendly vs. Jamaica at BMO Field in Toronto, Ont. The match will be the first for new Canada head coach Benito Floro.
Attakora has six career appearances (two starts) for Canada, who he has represented at almost every international level. He made his senior national team debut in a friendly against Jamaica on Jan. 31, 2010, and he was a part of Canada's 2012 Olympic qualifying campaign. He represented the senior national side four times in 2013, most recently against Slovenia in Nov. 2013.
