Goalkeeper Stefan Frei leads the league with eight shutouts, matching his career high from 2010 with Toronto FC.
First to 50
Sounders FC will look to become the first club to reach the 50-point mark with a win over Chivas USA on Wednesday night. Sounders FC is also on club record pace, amassing 48 points in two fewer games than the 2011 season. The club record for fastest to 50 points was 28 games played, set in the 2013 season.
Seattle is also on track to set the club record for most wins in a single season, having already matched its season total of 15 wins in 2012 and 2013. Sounders FC set the club record with 18 wins in 2011, earning its 15th victory after 30 games.
