(NASHUA, NH, August 8, 2007) Nashua Pride righthander Hideki Nagasaka won his team-high seventh game of the season as the Pride downed the Sussex Skyhawks, 4-1, Wednesday night in front of 1,230 fans at Historic Holman Stadium. The Pride took two out of three from the Skyhawks and were 4-2 on the six-game homestand.
Nagasaka (7-1) went six and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits, one unearned run, walking one and striking out two. He had bullpen help from Steve Palaazzolo who retired all four batters he faced and Rich "El Guapo" Garces who struck out the side in the ninth inning to post his 14th save.
The Pride's offense came from DH Tommy Rojas who stroked a two-run single in the third inning and the Can-Am League's leading hitter Olmo Rosario who drove in a run with a fielder's choice in the fifth and belted his 11th home run of the year in the seventh inning. Rosario was three for four on the night, he's now batting .373.
Sussex scored its only run in the seventh on a run scoring double by Jared Lemieux.
