The Atlantic City Surf exploded for eight runs in the first inning and rolled from there to an easy victory over the Quebec Capitales. The Surf plated 16 runs on the afternoon along with 21 hits. Atlantic City leadoff hitter Lucas Taylor led the way offensively going 5-for-6 at the plate with three runs scored and three RBI. DH Wil Quintana also chipped in with three hits in five at-bats for the Surf along with a run scored and a run driven in. Atlantic City starter Brian Rodaway continues his terrific season as he picks up his league leading 11th win of the season. Rodaway went 6 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts. For Quebec in the losing effort, C Greg Stevens went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

New Haven County 9, Grays 5

New Haven County leadoff hitter Ervin Alcantara and LF Kevin Whiteside each had solid days at the plate in leading the Cutters to a big win over the Grays. Alcantara and Whiteside on the day combined to go 6-for-10 at the dish with four runs scored and six runs driven in. New Haven County RF Jeremy Pickrel also chipped in with three hits in four at-bats. Cutters starting pitcher Bucky Kosyk moved his record to 3-0 on the season with a six inning performance allowing three earned runs on 10 hits with a strikeout. 1B Jose Velasquez and RF Anthony Bennett each collected three hits on the day for the Grays.

Brockton 0, North Shore 0 (Bottom 1 - Suspended/Rain)
@ Lynn, MA.
The game between Brockton and North Shore was scoreless after a half inning of play before being suspended due to inclement weather. The game will be made up Thursday beginning at 4:05 PM as part of a doubleheader. The first game will resume in the bottom of the first inning and will be played as a nine-inning regulation game, while the second game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1 and be a seven-inning affair.

New Jersey 9, Worcester 0

HR: NJ-Sandy Madera (16), Clyde Williams (10) The New Jersey Jackals didn't have any trouble handling the Worcester Tornadoes at home as they rolled to a shutout, improving their record to 10-12 in the second half. The Jackals staff allowed just two hits in the contest, both yielded by starter Kevin Ool who struck out five and walked three to improve to 1-1 on the year. DH Sandy Madera led the way at the plate for New Jersey. He finished the game 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. 1B Clyde Williams also had a big game in the win. He was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and a pair of RBI.

Nashua 4, Sussex 1

The Nashua Pride got ahead with two runs in the third inning and never looked back as they went on to defeat the Sussex Skyhawks and improve to 12-12 in the second half. Pride starter Hideki Nagasaka notched his seventh win of the year by holding Sussex to one unearned run on six hits through 6 2/3 innings. Nashua closer Rich Garces would later gather his 14th save of the season by working a perfect ninth. Nashua SS Olmo Rosario led the way offensively. He was 3-for-4 in the game with a home run and two RBI.
