EDD's BIG JULY

In the month of July, Elena Delle Donne is averaging 23.4 points, 7.0 re- bounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 56.8% from the field, 52.0% from three-point territory and 95.2% from the charity stripe. Delle Donne's 23.4 points are the second most by a player in the month and she is the only player to average at least 20+ points while shooting 50.0% or better from both the field and three-point range.

On July 18, the WNBA announced Delle Donne had been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played during the week of July 12 - July 17. This marked her first Player of the Week recog- nition of the season and the 24th of her career.

Washington has posted a 4-1 record in games she has played in July and when Delle Donne scores 20 or more points the Mystics have posted a 4-0 record in the month.

ALL-STAR ARIEL

Ariel Atkins was selected as a reserve in the WNBA All-Star Game (played in Chicago on 7/10), marking her second career All-Star appearance. At- kins became one of eight Mystics players to be named to an All-Star more than once with the team. She also participated in the 2022 MTN Dew 3-PT Contest.

Atkins has totaled 56 three-pointers on the season, totaling at least 40 three-point makes in each season since 2018, joining Kelsey Mitchell as the only players to accomplish this feat.

Atkins is averaging 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists this season while shooting 41.6% from the field and 36.8% from three point range.

She has totaled 26 10+ point games, first amongst Mystics players and tied for the second most double-figure scoring games by a player Natasha Cloud is averaging a career-best 7.0 assists per game, the most in the WNBA. Cloud is on pace to become the only player in franchise his- tory to average at least seven assists per game and would become only the fourth in league history to average seven or more assists per game (C. Vandersloot, T. Penicheiro, S. Bird).

SHATORI FOR SIXTH

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough is averaging 7.1 points, 2.0 rebounds (career- best), 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She has totaled 191 points on the season, the most since 2019.

She joins Rachel Banham (MIN) as the only reserve players in the month of July to average at least 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting at least 45.0% shooting [min. 5 GP].

In the month of July, she is also posting a 6.8 +/- , trailing only teammate Myisha Hines-Allen in +/- rating for a bench player.

ALL ABOUT DEFENSE

Washington is holding opponents to 75.0 points per game, the fewest in the league. The Mystics also currently rank first in defensive rating (94.3).

This season, opponents are shooting 42.7% from the field against Washington, fourth in the WNBA.

- The Mystics have held their opponent to 75 or fewer points in 15 games this season (tied for the most in the league), posting a 13-2 record in those games.

- Washington is holding opponents to 33.3% from three-point territory, fourth best in the WNBA. The Mystics have held their opponent to shooting 35% or less from three-point range 17 times, tied for the third most games in the league.

The Mystics are currently hosting their first ever 'Stics & Kicks For A Cause auction. The initiative pairs Mystics players with a cause near and dear to their hearts in an effort to raise funds and bring aware- ness to the charitable organization. Each pair of shoes has been hand drawn by emerging artist and female entrepreneur Sammy Handler (KicksBy- Sammy) in collaboration with each Mystics athlete to draw upon inspiration around ideas that have meaning in their lives and that supports a cause they believe in.
