Today's Storyline The Mystics (9-10) will take on the Los Angeles Sparks (17-1) on Sunday, July 10.

Making History: We are at the halfway mark of the 2016 season and the Washington Mystics have already set a team record of 82.1 points per game.

Friendly Foes: Mystics guard Tayler Hill will face her former collegiate teammate from the Ohio State University, Jantel Lavender. Mystics center Kia Vaughn will also matchup against one of her former teammates on both the collegiate and professional level, Essence Carson. The two played at Rutgers University and at the New York Liberty during the 2009-2012 seasons. Mystics forward Emma Meesseman and Sparks center Ann Wauters share Belgium roots while Sparks guard Kristi Toliver has local ties to the area as a former Maryland Terrapin. Sparks guard/forward Alana Beard is a familiar face to the Mystics. Beard was selected with the second overall pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft by the Mystics before signing with the Sparks in the off-season prior to 2012.

On The Road Again: The Mystics are currently on a five-game road trip with rematches against Chicago, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Seattle before returning to Verizon Center on July 20. The Mystics are 5-4 on the road this season and have won six out of their last ten games.
