Get In, Get a win, Get out: The Washington Mystics are 2-1 in road games. Both of the team's wins against Indiana and Charlotte come after spend spending fewer than 30 hours in both cities.
Changes: The Mystics game at MCI Center on Thursday, June 17th versus the San Antonio Silver Stars will change time slots. The game was originally slated to be played at 8:00 p.m. but will now be played at 7:00 p.m. The game will air nationally on ESPN 2. This will be the first nationally televised game this season for the Mystics.
Out-rebounding: For the second consecutive game, the Mystics out-rebounded its opponent. Washington out-rebounded Connecticut, 33-31. The Mystics had 11 offensive rebounds to the Suns seven. Washington out-rebounded the Shock, 37-35. Washington had 12 offensive rebounds to Detroit's seven.
Close Calls: Three of the six Mystics games this season have been decided by three points or fewer. Two of those three were victories with Washington defeating the Indiana Fever, 68-67 and the Detroit Shock, 65-63. The WNBA is currently on pace to have the highest percentage of close games (three points or less) and lowest percentage of blow outs (10 points or more) in its eight year history.
Rookie Report: Mystics rookie Alana Beard is averaging 10.0 ppg and 3.30 rpg. She has 13 assists, 10 steals and a team high six blocks. Beard is second on the team with 20 rebounds. There are currently three WNBA rookies averaging 10 or more points per game so far this season. The WNBA record for most rookies scoring in double-figures is four in 2002.
Career Milestones: Chamique Holdsclaw is just 18 minutes shy from reaching 5,000 career minutes played. She currently has 2,651 career points and needs 349 more points to reach 3,000. Holdsclaw currently has 977 defensive rebounds and is 23 shy of 1,000 defensive rebounds. Murriel Page is two games shy from reaching 200 career games played.

Washington Mystics Player Chamique Holdsclaw and Murriel Page will join Wizards player Juan Dixon to the 9th Annual Hoop Dreams 3-on-3 Charity Basketball Tournament from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Hoop Dreams provides inner city DC public high school students with academic college scholarships and connects them to the regional business community and a network of greater opportunities. Hoop Dreams has helped nearly 700 students reach college with 900 college scholarships and renewals totaling nearly $2.5 million.
