Billings Mustangs News Release

BILLINGS--The third game between the Billings Mustangs and the Glacier Range Riders was suspended after two innings of play due to heavy rain in the Billings area on Friday night.

The game will be completed to its full nine innings as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. with a seven-inning contest to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. All tickets to tonight's game can be redeemed for a future Mustangs game.

Before the rains came, the Mustangs put up an early big inning for the third straight night. In the first, Crews Taylor greeted starter Brock Wroten with a double and came around two batters later on an infield single by Jalen Garcia. With two on and two outs, Jacob Kline lined a ball off the wall in right-center field and raced for third for his third triple in as many games, staking the Mustangs to a 3-0 lead.

However, after both teams went down scoreless in the second, the rains came and both teams were pulled off the field before the start of the third inning. At 7:15 p.m. the game entered a rain delay before eventually being called 35 minutes later.

Pitchers for the resumption of Friday's game are still to be determined. Darrien Ragins (0-0, 12.00) is scheduled to make his third start of the season in the regularly scheduled contest, while Logan Van Wey (0-0, 1.50) is scheduled to counter for Glacier. Pregame tomorrow will begin at 3:10 p.m. on ESPN 910/105.5 with Brennan Mense on the call ahead of a 3:30 first pitch at Dehler Park.
