Musketeers Host Waterloo this Sunday

The Musketeers encounter their first 3 game weekend this coming week when they hit the road for two games against Iowa rivals Dubuque and Des Moines on Friday night, January 29th and Saturday night, January 30th, respectively, and then return to the cozy confines of the Tyson Events Center for their first home game in almost a month when they host the Waterloo Black Hawks for a 3:00pm game on Sunday, January 31st. The Sunday afternoon game is sponsored by Burger King, and fans will receive coupons for a free order of chicken fries as they arrive. A post-game skate will take place immediately following the game.

The Musketeers traveled to Lincoln this past Friday night and were held scoreless in a 7-0 loss to the Stars, who snapped a 7 game losing streak.

The Musketeers, now 17-16-1-0 (35 points) on the season are currently ranked 5th in the USHL's Western Conference. Sioux City has not yet faced the Eastern Conference's 3rd place Dubuque Fighting Saints (23-12-0-0, 45 points) this season. The Friday night game at the Mystique Ice Center in Dubuque is scheduled to start at 7:30pm.

The team rolls into Des Moines for a 7:05pm game against the Buccaneers (16-18-2-0, 34 points). Sioux City is 1-1-0-0 against the Buccaneers so far this season, with two games remaining in the season series, both on the road in Des Moines. The Musketeers return to home ice on Sunday against Waterloo (126-15-0-2, 34 points). It will be the second and final time that the two teams play in Sioux City before taking the 4 game season series to Waterloo later in the season. Sioux City won the first game with The Black Hawks back on Sunday, October 18th in a high scoring 7-5 affair.

Fans who attend the game will be given coupons for a free order of Chicken Fries at game night sponsor, Burger King. Fans are also invited to stick around after the Sunday afternoon game to skate with the team immediately following the game. Skating is free for those who bring their own skates. Skates are available for rental for $3.00 per person for those who do not have their own skates.
