Rem Pitlick Named CCM Forward of the Week

Chicago, IL - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that forward Rem Pitlick has been named by the United States Hockey League, The CCM Forward of the Week. Pitlick receives this honor for the second time this season, after his three point weekend in Iowa.

Pitlick, the Plymouth, Minnesota native and University of Minnesota commit earned the honor following the weekend trip to Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. In the weekend games, Pitlick recorded two goals and one assist with nine shots on goal. Currently, Pitlick has a two point lead in the USHL scoring race, with 24 goals and 19 assists in 29 games.

This marks the second time Pitlick has received this award this season, first coming back in early December. Pitlick is also the third Lumbrejacks player to receive the CCM player of the week honors this season, joining goaltender Joey Daccord (2) and defenseman Trevor Hamilton.

The Muskegon Lumberjacks (14-15-4) are getting set for a one game weekend. The Lumberjacks will travel to Nebraska to take on the Lincoln Stars (21-17-1) on Friday, January 29th, at 8:05 p.m. Muskegon will return home the following weekend for a two game series with the Bloomington Thunder (20-11-3). Both games will start at 7:15 p.m. as the Lumberjacks will host Dollar Beer and Dollar Dog Night on Friday, and then finish the weekend with Beard and College Night on Saturday.
