SIOUX CITY, IA - The Omaha Lancers were taken down by the Sioux City Musketeers by a final score of 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Kyle Bettens (0:18) quickly got the Lancers on the board beating Tracy after taking the puck away from a Sioux City defender. The Musketeers evened the game 1-1 immediately after when Ethan Edwards (0:36) shot the puck past Reilly Herbst. The Musketeers added two more unanswered goals in the opening frame to take a 3-1 lead going into the first intermission.
In the middle period, Noah Carlin (4:21) snapped the puck into the back of the night from the right circle to get the Lancers their second goal of the night for a 3-2 score. Late into the period, the Musketeers netted a goal after running over Herbst in the crease for a 4-2 lead.
The Musketeers kept the Lancers from scoring again, even when the Lancers went on a 5-on-3 power-play late into the final period. The Musketeers would eventually finish off the game with a 4-2 final score, beating the Lancers for the second time this season.
The Lancers are now 14-14 on the year and continue to sit at 4th place in the Western Conference.
Omaha will head to Fargo to face the Force for a two-game weekend series that starts on Friday, February 11th at 7:05 PM. All of the weekends' action is on MIxLR and HockeyTV.
