
Murray and Downie Selected To All-Star Team

Kitchener, ON: The Ontario Hockey League announced this afternoon that both John Murray and Steve Downie have been selected from the Rangers to participate in the All-Star Classic as a part of the Western Conference squad.
Murray currently appears amongst the top 5 in all major goaltending categories with a 26-6-1-2 record, 2.32 GAA, .918 save percentage and 5 shutouts. His GAA and shutouts pace the Ontario Hockey League.
In 30 games this season, Downie is averaging better than two points per game with 24 goals and 61 points. Since being acquired by the Rangers the two time World Junior gold medalist has picked up two points (1-1) in two games.
This years All-Star Classic is being held on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 in Saginaw, Michigan.
