
Murphy Named OHL Goaltender of the Month

Belleville Bulls goaltender Mike Murphy has been named the OHL Goaltender of the Month for November. Murphy was undefeated in regulation in November recording a 9-0-1-1 record while posting a league best 1.77 goals against average and .951 save percentage. He also recorded one shutout and faced a league high 385 shots in November.
Murphy stopped 16 of 17 shots he faced while representing Team OHL at the ADT Canada Russia Challenge on November 24th. He also became just the fifth goaltender in franchise history to record 60 career regular season victories when he helped the Bulls defeat Erie 4-2 on November 27th. The Inverary, Ontario native now sits fourth all-time with 62 career victories, just six shy of all-time leader Kory Cooper. Murphy, the reigning OHL Goaltender of the Year, currently holds an impressive 17-3-2-2 record while holding a league best 1.96 GAA and .944 SV%.
