Mundorf Wins League's Weekly Rookie Award

DENVER - June 26, 2006 - Brendan Mundorf, attack for the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse, received the league's Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth week of the season. He recorded six goals in the team's 20-19 loss to the San Francisco Dragons on Saturday night at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
Mundorf, drafted with the team's fourth pick in the second round (21st overall) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft, leads all of the league's draftees with 13 goals and is tied for the lead among that group with 13 points.
The former UMBC Retriever is fourth on the Outlaws with 13 goals and sixth on the team with 13 points.
The Outlaws return to action on Saturday night when they host the Los Angeles Riptide in a Western Conference game on July 1 at INVESCO Field at Mile High. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
