NEWS & NOTES: - About Last Night - The Carolina Mudcats defeated the Frederick Keys 10-4. Ronny Rodriguez had four hits, and Justin Toole tallied three RBI. Delvi Cid finished with two hits and two RBI. Will Roberts earned the win in his first start.

- Impressive, Kid - Will Roberts shined in his Mudcats debut Friday night. The right-hander out of Richmond, VA, allowed two runs and three hits in the first inning, but settled in after. The starter held Frederick hitless over his final five innings to earn the win.

- New Life - Mired in a 1x27 slump, Justin Toole rebounded against Frederick, driving in three runs with two hits and sac-fly. Similarly, Ronny Rodriguez, who was 1x21 in his last seven games, went 4x4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI.

- Stay Hot - Jesus Aguilar extended his hitting streak to six games with a fifth inning double. He has homered four times during this stretch. Aguilar finished the series against Lynchburg hitting .571 (8x14) with three HRs and four RBI.

- Set 'em Up, Put 'em Down - The Mudcats bullpen has stifled opposing hitters recently. Dale Dickerson has made four appearances without allowing a run, and opposing right-handed hitters have a measly .152 average in 33 at-bats against him. Trey Haley has four scoreless innings, and Shawn Armstrong hasn't allowed a run in 14.1 frames (six appearances).
