
Mud Hens welcome 4,000,000th fan on Friday night

The Toledo Mud Hens are pleased to announce that the overall attendance in the history of Fifth Third Field surpassed four million on Friday, August 29 - the final home game of the season.
Fifth Third Field has set numerous milestones and records in the 2008 season, including reaching the 200th sell-out in the history of the park. Fifth Third Field has sold out 36 times this season - a new park record.
The Toledo Mud Hens broke an all-time Toledo attendance record by drawing 590,159 fans during the 2007 season.

In addition, the International League is on the brink of setting a single season attendance record. The IL is averaging over 7,220 fans per opening this season, an increase of 3.5% from 2007. The 2002 season set the previous record of 6, 815,633 fans - 2002 was also the opening of Fifth Third Field. As of August 29, the IL has seen a total of 6,805,260 - roughly 10,000 fans shy of the record and with four days of play left, they are certain to break the record.
