Mud Hens host drug awareness program

The Toledo Mud Hens, in partnership with the Toledo Police Department, Lucas County Sheriff's Office, Lucas County Prosecutors and The Community Partnership will be hosting a Drug Education Program for local underprivileged youth before their Noon game on Tuesday, June 17. Representatives from the organizations, including Mud Hen Players, will be speaking about the importance of making the right choices to stay drug, alcohol and tobacco free. About 700 kids will take part in this program, which begins at 10am, and attend the game that follows. All kids will be asked to sign a pledge to remain drug, alcohol and tobacco free. A second program will be held on Monday, July 28th.
