Muckdogs Best Cutters Again

Nick Matera plated the Crosscutters lone run with a 9th inning double, but the Crosscutters offensive woes at home continued in their 3-1 loss to Batavia in the middle game of the series.

Matera finished the night 1-4 with his 2nd double and 2nd RBI of the season. McCarthy Tatum finished the night 3 for 4 with a trio of singles and a stolen base in his professional debut.

Nate Fassnacht went 2 for 3 with a double and Hunter Markwardt went 2 for 3 for the Crosscutters, like Tatum, they were also making their professional debuts tonight for the Crosscutters.

Taylor Lehman threw four shutout innings, striking out three and walking one, in his 2nd start of the season. Adam Cox allowed three runs over an inning of work, taking the loss tonight.

Jose Conopoima and Omar Maldenado combined to throw four shutout innings of relief, keeping the Crosscutters in the game. Conopoima threw three shutout frames, striking out two, while Maldanado worked a scoreless frame, striking out two.

Williamsport falls to 1-5 at home this season and have dropped 5-straight games in total.
