MTS Teams Up With Blue Bombers for App

MTS, the exclusive provider of telecommunications services at Investors Group Field, and the Winnipeg Football Club today announced the launch of the official Winnipeg Blue Bombers mobile app. Powered by MTS, the official Winnipeg Blue Bombers app is free and is available to users across Apple, BlackBerry, and Android platforms.

"MTS and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have a long-standing relationship, and I'm pleased that we are working together to bring this app to fans," said MTS Vice President of Marketing Stan Kurtas. "The app gives fans a new and exciting way to stay connected to the Big Blue."

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers app is a one-stop shop that offers fans the ability to keep up-to-date on all Blue Bomber news, videos and photos, and gives them access to the latest posts and tweets on Facebook and Twitter. App users can also access Investors Group Field information and purchase tickets.

"Through our partnership with MTS, the Winnipeg Football Club is excited to provide Blue Bomber fans the official Winnipeg Blue Bombers app that allows fans to follow the team through news, videos and more," said Winnipeg Football Club Vice President of Marketing & Brand Development, Jerry Maslowsky.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers app is available now on the following devices:

- iPhones and iPod touches running iOS 5.0+

- Android Smartphones running Android 2.2+

- BlackBerry Smartphones running BlackBerry 6 and 7

For iPhone users, the app also allows fans to experience scoring updates, game summaries including quarter-by-quarter scoring details, game stats, and head-to-head team comparisons as well as numerous team stats categories.

The free app is available from Apple's iTunes Store, BlackBerry's App World, and Google's Android Marketplace.
