Motor City Cruise Rolls Past Wisconsin Herd

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Motor City Cruise 137-108. The Cruise took control early and proceeded to lead the entire game while shooting over 50% across the board. Throughout the night, the Herd shot 11-18 from beyond the arc and outscored the Cruise in fast break points and points in the paint.

Milwaukee Bucks Two-Way player Lindell Wigginton led the Herd with 21 points while Jazian Gortman and Elijah Hughes followed with 14 apiece.

Motor City's top scorer was Jared Rhoden with 26 points followed by Jontay Porter and Treveon Graham with 19 points each.

The Cruise got off to a rapid start, getting on the board first to propel a lead that would hold for the entire first quarter. Lindell Wigginton responded with a three-point basket to secure the first points for the Herd. The Cruise remained dominant pushing ahead to an 11-point advantage at the seven-minute mark. Motor City held on to a double-digit edge until Lindell Wigginton converted a three-point play to bring the Herd within nine. The Herd attempted to come back but the opening frame ended 39-25 in favor of the Cruise.

The Herd found a rhythm early in the second quarter cutting Motor City's lead to eight points. Elijah Hughes carried the Herd's comeback with seven straight points. Milwaukee Bucks assignment player Chris Livingston threw in another basket to bring the Herd within four points. The Cruise responded with a 6-0 run to go back up by double-digits. The Herd rallied once more before the end of the half, but it wasn't enough to take control. The Cruise entered the break with a 67-58 advantage. Lindell Wigginton guided the Herd with 13 points in the first half.

Wisconsin entered the third quarter with a huge 10-5 run to cut the lead to four. Motor City answered with an increase to an 11-point edge, but the Herd powered back again outscoring the Cruise 11-2 to come within two points. The Cruise went on a dominant two-minute spread, increasing its upper hand to 95-81 by the time Wisconsin ended its drought with 2:02 remaining in the third quarter. The Herd secured two baskets before the quarter ended with Motor City up 102- 87.

Motor City took a commanding start to the final quarter grabbing a 20+ point lead at the eight-minute mark. After a two-minute dry spell, the Herd scored six points before the Cruise brought in 11 unanswered points. The Herd proceeded to outscore the Cruise 8-6 in the last two minutes of the game. Motor City secured the win 137-108.

The two teams will face off again for the second game of the back-to-back tomorrow, December 1st with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
