Belleville Bulls News Release

LONDON, ON - Searching for another weekend sweep, the Belleville Bulls continue their western road trip with a stop at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario. Wrapping up a home-and-home with a 4-3 shootout win over the Sarnia Sting on Friday night, the Bulls, who sit five points behind the Oshawa Generals in the Eastern Conference, look to add another to their current three game win streak.

Another down to the wire contest with the Sarnia Sting needed to be decided in a shootout. Goal scorers in regulation were Remi Elie, who extended his point streak to 5 games, Jordan Subban, who also added the shootout winner and Justin Lemcke. Netminder Charlie Graham made 43 saves to help the Bulls grab another two points.

Newly acquired forward Brett Welychka will make his first return to his hometown, and to the arena he called home for the last 4 seasons. Welychka was a big part of the Bulls success on Friday night, picking up 2 assists before adding a shootout goal.

The Bulls will be down a man against London as David Tomasek, who continues to fill in on the blue line in the absence of Jack Hanley, suffered an upper body injury in the win over Sarnia.

The London Knights currently sit at the bottom of the Midwest Division but are coming off a big 5-2 win over the Ottawa 67's on Friday night. Former Bull, Aaron Berisha is settling in nicely with his new club, scoring twice in the win. Other goal scorers for the Knights were Christian Dvorak, Michael McCarron and Kevin Klima. Phoenix Coyotes prospect Max Domi leads his team with 1 goal and 11 assists in 9 games played. Dvorak, the sophomore from Illinois, has also played a big role for the Knights of late scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists in 11 games played.

Saturday's match up marks the second of three in a row for London as they travel to Guelph to take on the Storm on Sunday evening.
