BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have released right wing John Morlang from a professional tryout contract. Morlang has returned to the United Hockey League ‚¬â„¢s Danbury Trashers.

Morlang has two goals, five assists, seven points and 15 penalty minutes in 24 AHL games with the Sound Tigers, as well as 13 goals, 17 assists, 30 points and 40 penalty minutes in 33 UHL games with Danbury this season.

The Sound Tigers will host the Hershey Bears at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard tonight at 7:05 p.m.
