Fort Myers Mighty Mussels News Release
FORT MYERS, FL (August 26, 2005) - The end of the baseball season can get a little hairy, especially when a team is in the middle of a playoff run. The play on the field has been anything, but for the Fort Myers Miracle, but things could get out of hand during the Hairiest Back Contest presented by Ideal Image on Saturday, September 3 at Hammond Stadium.
In between innings, of the Fan Appreciation Night Game presented by Sun Harvest Citrus, WWGO and WWGR, the men with the hairiest backs will be paraded on top of the dugout for all fans to see, and will vote on the man who could use a back makeover given by Ideal Image.
The first 25 Men interested in entering the contest can stop by the Ideal Image office at 4315 Metro Parkway, Suite 150 and pick up a complimentary ticket for the September 3 game between the Miracle and Sarasota Reds or fans can email their name to fanmail@miraclebaseball.com to register.
Following the game it's the big fireworks extravaganza presented by Sun Harvest Citrus, WWGO and WWGR. Tickets for the evening are $7 for box seats and $5 for general reserve. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., the game begins at 7:05 p.m. and the hairy backs start coming out in between innings. For tickets call 239-768-4210 or go to the Miracle website at www.miraclebaseball.com.
