Halifax Mooseheads News Release
Halifax Mooseheads reduced their 208 Training Camp roster to 32 to day with the release of three players, while two others have elected to leave the camp.
Seventeen-year-old defenseman Sam Caldwell has decided to report to the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League, while right-winger Alex Lemieux, 16, will return to Charles-Lemoyne of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League.
"After discussions with Lemieux's parents, it was agreed that Alex would benefit most by playing another year with his midget team," General Manager Marcel Patenaude said.
At the same time, the Mooseheads have released 19-year-old centre Derek Fulton, 18-year-old right-wing Christopher Reiss and 18-year-old left-wing Nicholas Jessome from the training camp roster.
