
Mooseheads Awarded 4th Overall Pick in QMJHL Draft Lottery

The Halifax Mooseheads were awarded the fourth pick in the 2017 QMJHL Draft during Thursday's QMJHL Draft Lottery in Quebec City.
The Mooseheads did not move up or move down after finishing 15th overall in the regular season standings. Halifax had 2 balls in the 21-ball lottery which equaled a 10 percent chance of moving up to claim the top pick.
Following the draw, here is the order of the first five teams that will pick first next June:
1st Pick - Rimouski Oceanic
2nd Pick - Sherbrooke Phoenix
3rd Pick - Moncton Wildcats
4th Pick - Halifax Mooseheads
5th Pick - Val-d'Or Foreurs
The 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at Harbour Station in Saint John, NB.
