
Mooseheads Acquire Andrew Wigginton In Trade

Halifax Mooseheads' Head Coach / General Manager Cam Russell announced today the completion of a trade with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan that will bring 18-year-old forward Andrew Wigginton to the Mooseheads. In return, the Titan will receive a ninth round pick in the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft.
Wigginton, born at Halifax Aug. 16, 1991, has been playing this season with the Halifax Lions in the Maritime Junior "A" Hockey League, competing in 25 games, recording seven goals and six assists, with 39 penalty minutes.
He will report to the team immediately and will be available as the Mooseheads take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the home-and-home "Battle of Nova Scotia" two-game series, at Sydney tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. and back at Metro Centre in Halifax Wednesday, also with a 7:00 p.m. start.
Fans are requested to bring a food donation to the games and will receive an opportunity to win one of the specially designed game jerseys that will be worn in the game.
