Lewiston Sweeps Home-And-Home With Victoraiville

LEWISTON, ME - Billy Lacasse scored the game tying and game winning goals to lift the MAINEiacs to a 3-2 victory over the Victoriaville Tigres Monday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The MAINEiacs sweep the home-and-home series with Victoriaville.

Victoriaville scored first on a goal by Philippe Maillet in the first period. Lewiston tied the game in the final minute of the second period on Nick Huard's first goal of the season.

The Tigres reclaimed the lead in the third on a Philip-Michael Devos power play goal. The 18th goal of the season for the Victoriaville captain, gave his team the 2-1 lead. However, the MAINEiacs' captain Billy Lacasse upstaged Devos, scoring two goals in the final half of the third to lead his team to the 3-2 victory.

The MAINEiacs outshot the Tigres 46-29 Adrien Lemay earned the win net, stopping 27 of 29 shots. Kevin Poulin takes loss despite making 43 saves.

The MAINEiacs continue their home stand on Wednesday against the Gatineau Olympiques. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee box office.
