Moose Sign John Lammers To PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have signed forward John Lammers to a professional tryout contract.

Lammers, 23, has appeared in six games so far this season with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL where he has nine points (6g & 3a) along with two penalty minutes. The Langley, BC native played in 57 games last year with current Moose Marco Rosa and the Houston Aeros where he collected 26 points (12g & 14a) and 40 penalty minutes. In 110 career games in the AHL with Iowa and Houston, Lammers has 40 points (18g & 22a) and 54 penalty minutes. Lammers appeared last season in 18 Calder Cup playoffs games with the Aeros including the Western Conference Final versus the Moose. In those 18 games, he collected eight assists. In 51 career ECHL games with Idaho and Alaska, Lammers has scored 56 points (35g & 21a).

Lammers was originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in the third round, 86th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
