Minnesota Wild Recalls Anton Khudobin

HOUSTON - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Anton Khudobin (who-DOH-bin) from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). Wild goaltender Josh Harding has lower body soreness and will not be available to practice today. The Aeros have signed goaltender Brett Jaeger to a professional tryout (PTO).

Khudobin, 23 (5/7/86), is 4-2-0 with a 1.77 GAA, a .936 SV% and one shutout in six games this season for the Aeros. Khudobin helped lead Houston to the Western Conference Finals last season, with an 8-8 postseason mark, along with a 2.70 GAA and a .900 SV%. Khudobin was the ECHL's Goaltender of the Year and an all-ECHL selection in 2007-08, when he went 20-1-4 with a 1.98 GAA and a .934 SV% for Texas. The 5-foot-11, 176-pound native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, was originally selected by Minnesota in the seventh round (206th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He will wear sweater number 35 with the Wild.

Jaeger, 26 (1/18/83), participated in the Aeros training camp in September and is 1-2-0 in three games for the Texas Brahmas (CHL) this season, posting a 3.48 GAA and .873 SV%.
