Manitoba Moose News Release

Winnipeg - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is proud to announce Stick to Reading, presented by McNally Robinson Booksellers, is back for its fourth year as a part of I Love to Read month.

Stick to Reading is a program designed to encourage and promote literacy to youth in our community. Students and teachers from local schools can enter their class for a chance to win a visit from Manitoba Moose players. During the visit, Moose players will read to and interact with students in their classroom.

Applicants will be asked to provide the top five reasons why Manitoba Moose players should come read in their classroom. The Stick to Reading contest is currently open for entries and closes Friday, Feb. 22. The winning schools will be contacted before Friday, March 1. Groups of Manitoba Moose players will visit the selected schools on Wednesday, March 6. Participating classrooms must be between grade 1 and grade 5 to be selected. All entrants will receive a Stick to Reading themed package from the Moose.

Entries can be submitted online at moosehockey.com/sticktoreading.

As a part of I Love to Read Month, Moose fans can donate new or gently used books to the Share the Magic book program at both McNally Robinson locations throughout February. The Moose will also be collecting books for Share the Magic at their Feb. 15 home game against the Chicago Wolves.
