
Moose Alumni Adds 4 More To Roster

Halifax Mooseheads News Release
The Mooseheads announced four more alumni who will be suiting up for the Inaugural Mooseheads Alumni Game against the Halifax Regional Police on Sunday, August 22nd at 2pm at the Halifax Forum. All 4 of these players have captained the Mooseheads at some point in their careers.
Andrew Bodnarchuk, the captain of the Mooseheads during the 2007-2008 season, played 3 seasons in Halifax recording 123 points in 196 games. Bodnarchuk began his pro career in 2008 with Providence of the American Hockey League and made his NHL debut this past season with the Boston Bruins. Bodnarchuk will be on the blueline for the Mooseheads Alumni Sunday at the Forum.
Ali MacEachern, another star Mooseheads defenseman, will make his return to Moose Country on Sunday. MacEachern, from Inverness, starred for 4 seasons in Halifax and was famous for his hip checks that often sent opponents flying at the Metro Centre. He is 3rd all-time in games played for the Mooseheads with 265.
Bryce Swan, another graduate of the Mooseheads in 2008, will also represent the Alumni. Swan played 4 seasons in Halifax recording 134 points in 198 games. Another popular player while in Moose Country, Swan now stars for the St.FX X-Men where he was 3rd in goals last season in the AUS. Swan is an Alder Point, Cape Breton native.
Graham Bona, another former captain of the Mooseheads, will return to the red and green Sunday. Bona graduated from the Mooseheads in 2009 after his overage season. Bona played 3 seasons in Halifax from 2006-2009. Graham now plays for the Acadia Axemen in the AUS.
Tickets for this special event are just $7, kids 12 and under are free. Alumni tickets also include admission to the Halifax Mooseheads Exhibition Home Opener against Saint John which immediately follows the Alumni Game at 4:30pm. A pre-game BBQ will take place at 1pm outside the Halifax Forum with all proceeds going towards Special Olympics Halifax. Tickets are on sale now at Antlers Merchandise Store, located in the Halifax Metro Centre across from the Ticket Atlantic Box Office.
